4 Steps to Maximize #GivingTuesday
Tuesday, December 1st, #GivingTuesday, started in 2012 as a day to encourage goodness and donation. Since then, it’s become a global movement inspiring millions of people to collaborate and celebrate generosity.
Here are 4 steps to maximize participation in #GivingTuesday:
- Market yourself! Use the #GivingTuesday hashtag to brand your messages. Post more often, not less. Your community wants to hear from you!
- We’ll help you, let us know and we will include you in 4Giving’s Giving Tuesday marketing outreach. We’ll promote your organization’s participation at no cost, send us an email and be sure to include your name, contact information, organization name, and your #GivingTuesday fundraising goal.
- Give donors a reason to support you on a recurring basis. Think about this as your #1Day4Giving, a way for donors to give on a more regular basis. Supporters are compelled to become more frequent donors when you connect with their emotions, ask them to be part of the mission, to help solve a problem, and create a better community.
- Donors love to see, hear, and feel the impact of their generosity. Show them, in tangible ways, how your organization has benefitted from their support.
